Their main purpose is in fact to enhance Orange County’s economic development and provide a proactive forum for business, government, and academia to join together for a high quality of life.The organization takes a pro-business stance. They focus on infrastructure, workforce development, workforce housing, and economic development when advocating for businesses. Each key element has its own division of committees and advocates. There are various smaller organizations entwined within the committees of each division. For example, OCMoves is a partnership that advocates for Orange County transportation priorities, The Latino Educational Attainment Initiative (LEA) is a program designed to help Latino parents recognize the important of higher learning in Latino Neighborhoods, and BIZPAC is OCBC’s political action committte that supports candidates who promote the public policy agenda of the Orange County Business Council.
