To maintain such a population, Orange County has to maintain its reputation as a desirable place to live, work, and raise a family. If you run a business in Orange County or want to start one, the <a href="http://www.ocbc.org/">Orange County Business Council</a> (OCBC) can help you out. Their main purpose is in fact to enhance Orange County&#8217;s economic development and provide a proactive forum for business, government, and academia to join together for a high quality of life.<span id="more-6"></span>The organization takes a pro-business stance. They focus on infrastructure, workforce development, workforce housing, and economic development when advocating for businesses. Each key element has its own division of committees and advocates. There are various smaller organizations entwined within the committees of each division. For example, OCMoves is a partnership that advocates for Orange County transportation priorities, The Latino Educational Attainment Initiative (LEA) is a program designed to help Latino parents recognize the important of higher learning in Latino Neighborhoods, and <a href="http://www.ocbc.org/gov_affairs_bizpac.cfm">BIZPAC</a> is OCBC&#8217;s political action committte that supports candidates who promote the public policy agenda of the Orange County Business Council. By taking on business issues of local, regional, and national importance, the OCBC helps unify business developments hence bringing forth a higher quality of life. They represent businesses with over 250,000 Employees County wide and more than 2 million employees worldwide.</p>
